Making a Dream Come “True Blue” Scholarship

In 2008, a Decorative Art Scholarship is to be formalised thanks to the generosity of the families of the late Denise Kidd and Sharon Bacon (both pioneers in the decorative art field in Australia). This has been made possible by the generosity and support of a variety of artists who have donated artwork for us to raffle to help fund this scholarship.

It is named The Making a Dream Come “True Blue” Scholarship and is valued at $500. The scholarship may be used to further decorative painting goals, education, or increase your knowledge of decorative art through seminars, workshops or conferences.

It will be open to True Blue members/mates in good standing and who have been a member/mate for 3 consecutive years, and are willing to commit to remain an member/mate for a following 2 years.

One scholarship per year will be awarded and will be selected by a special Scholarship Committee. Closing date for applications accompanied by all relevant documentation will be 30th June each year. No scholarship will be awarded if the selection committee concludes that no applicant meets the specified qualifications, or if sufficient funds are not available The successful recipient should be willing to share with fellow members/mates what they learn.
